Running to support NHS - ASPH Charity

Every Week, Urology Service at Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals receive dozens (sometimes hundreds) of suspected cancer referrals.

This team helps diagnosing and treating 5 different types of cancer: Prostate, Bladder, Testicular, Renal and Penile.

So we can confidently say this team helps saving thousands of lives every year.

 

My grandfather himself has been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer a couple years ago and been trough Radiotherapy - and still alive! So I can relate and understand the great work this specialist service does!

 

I am running in April 2025 - for the first time ever - a half marathon to raise funds to support ASPH Charity. I have no running background and never ran such a long distance - 13.1 miles/21Km. - This will be definitely a big challenge and milestone for me.

 

All the funds will be used to support Urology Staff who does so much and goes often unnoticed. From doctors, to nurses, healthcare assistants, admin, etc - This team does a magnific work and save thousands of lives every year.
